2. Scope

This policy explains how we process personal data when you use nsynk.de and its language versions. We process personal data only where this is necessary to provide the website, respond to enquiries, protect our systems or—where you have consented—understand how the website is used.

3. Hosting and server logs

When you access this website, our hosting infrastructure may automatically record technical information such as the requested page, date and time, referrer, browser and operating system, IP address and access status. We use these logs to deliver the website, maintain security and diagnose faults. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are the secure and reliable operation of the website. Logs are deleted when they are no longer required for these purposes, unless a security incident requires longer retention.

4. Consent settings and necessary storage

We store your privacy choice in the necessary cookie nsynk_consent_v1. It contains the selected categories, a version number and the time of the decision. It contains no analytics data and expires after 180 days. This storage is necessary to provide the privacy settings you requested; the legal basis is Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can reopen and change your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

5. Website analytics

If you explicitly consent to “Analytics”, we use the self-hosted open-source analytics software Matomo. Matomo helps us understand which pages are visited, how visitors reach the website and how the website performs. It processes page URL and title, referrer, time of access, approximate location derived from an anonymised IP address, and browser and device information. We do not use this data for automated decisions or advertising profiles.

Matomo is operated on infrastructure controlled by us in Germany. Analytics data is not transferred to third-party analytics providers. The IP address is anonymised. “Do Not Track” signals are respected.

After consent, Matomo may set _pk_id to recognise a browser for up to 13 months and _pk_ses for the current session for about 30 minutes. The legal bases are your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Without consent, the Matomo script is not loaded and no analytics data or Matomo cookies are created.

You may withdraw consent at any time through “Cookie settings”. Withdrawal stops future tracking and deletes accessible Matomo cookies. It does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

6. Media and external services

Most media files are served directly from our website. Some pages may contain media provided by Vimeo or YouTube. When such external media is loaded or played, the provider may receive your IP address, the page visited and technical device information and may set its own cookies. The provider is responsible for its subsequent processing. Links to Instagram, LinkedIn and other external websites do not transmit data to those services until you follow the link.

Our interface animation libraries may be delivered through the jsDelivr content delivery network. The request necessarily transmits your IP address and technical request data to the CDN in order to deliver the file. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and efficient delivery of the website.

7. Contact

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide to answer your request and manage the resulting correspondence. Depending on the context, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual communication or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other business communication. We retain correspondence only as long as required for the purpose or by statutory retention obligations.

8. Recipients and transfers

We disclose personal data only where this is necessary for hosting, technical operation, professional advice or compliance with legal obligations. Service providers process data under appropriate contractual safeguards. Where a service involves processing outside the European Economic Area, we use an adequacy decision or another safeguard under Chapter V GDPR where required.

9. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion or restriction, receive data you provided in a portable format, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, contact info@nsynk.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for private organisations based in Hesse is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

10. Automated decisions

We do not use personal data collected through this website for automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website, our processing or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
